Out Of Hours School Care

This course ws designed for people who work in vacation care or before/after school care programs. You will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to care for children in these programs, and you will also learn about the developmental stages of children. There is also a strong practical focus to this course, which allows you to apply the skills learnt whilst also doing theory.

Course Duration

Students are also required to complete on the job training (a field placement). You will be required to complete a minimum 150 hours of work in an child care organisation. This can be your own place of work if you are currently working in the children's care industry. Discuss this with the coordinator on enrolment.
